Troubleshooting

If the parasol exhibits malfunctions that cannot be eliminated by following the steps below, contact us at the CARAVITA service

hotline. The contact data can be found on the first and last pages of these instructions

The following malfunctions can occur when using the parasol:

Problem

Cause

Remedy

The canopy can no longer be opened

or closed.

The cable is loose and has become

knotted in the housing.

■

Pull out the cable forcefully by hand

while turning the crank to the left.

Do not turn the crank with too much

force.

■

If the knot in the cable cannot be

released, disassemble the gear.

■

With the canopy open: close the

canopy and loosen the canopy ribs.

The ribs must not be turned inward.

Loosen the ribs again.

The crank cannot be turned.

The cable is too loose and not under

tension.

■

Grasp the cable with one hand

above the gear and pull it out while

turning the crank with the other

hand.

An initial resistance when turning (left)

the crank.

The gear is blocked.

■

Keep turning the crank forcefully.

The canopy jumps downward slightly

when opening it.

The cable windings in the gear are

positioned on top of each other and slip

off.

■

This has no impact on the function of

the parasol.
