Closing the canopy

CAUTION

Danger of injury from tipping over
Lack of care can cause the parasol to tip over on account of its high weight.

■

Two people are required to install the parasol.

■

The base must be heavy enough to prevent the parasol from tipping over in high winds when closed.

NOTICE

Property damage from abrasion of the parasol fabric
Permanent fluttering in the wind can damage the parasol fabric due to abrasion against the ribs. Claims for

compensation cannot be asserted against CARAVITA for this type of damage.

■

Always secure the closed canopy using the strap.

1 Insert the crank in the mechanism on the pole.

2 Turn the crank anti-clockwise until the parasol is almost fully closed.

INFO

The crank can only be turned if the cable is under tension.

3 Pull the fabric out from between the ribs to prevent the fabric from being

pinched or damaged.
