TROUBLESHOOTING
If a malfunction occurs in your satellite reception
system, it is important that you quickly check the
cause and find a solution. the table below shows the
most common malfunction cases with their possible
solutions.
Problem
Cause
Solution
1.
The LED on the user interface
module does not turn on.
The fuse has burnt.
Wrong cable wiring.
Replace the fuse with a new one.
Check the connections of the power
cable and in particular the polarity of
the power supply line.
Check for the correct connection
between CU and MMI.
2.
The antenna does not open.
Ignition protection intervention.
The vehicle is turned on.
Wrong cable wiring.
There is an obstacle which limits its
movement.
Check that the orange wire is not
connected to a +12V DC voltage.
turn the vehicle off.
Check that all the cables are correctly
inserted.
Remove the obstacle (branch, snow,
ice, etc.)
3.
the antenna cannot find the
satellite.
The signal received is being interfered
by an obstacle.
The vehicle is at the edge of the
coverage area for the satellite.
Parameters for the satellite reception
have changed.
Wrong coaxial cable wiring.
Move the vehicle so that your view is
unobstructed towards the south.
Check the coverage area of the
satellite and check whether it
is necessary to perform a skew
adjustment.
Use the antenna in manual mode
and contact the service centre for
updating the Control Unit.
Check that the coaxial cables are
connected to the correct connector.
4.
Intermittent or poor quality
picture.
The signal received is disrupted by
obstacles.
The vehicle is at the edges of the
coverage area for the satellite.
Bad weather.
Move the vehicle so that your view is
unobstructed towards the south.
Check the coverage area of the
satellite and check whether it is
necessary to perform an adjustment
of the Skew.
Wait for the weather to improve.
5.
No picture on the TV.
The antenna is not aligned with the
chosen satellite.
Wrong coaxial cable wiring.
Satellite receiver not correctly set.
Check that the satellite selected
in the MMI corresponds to the one
viewed on the receiver.
Check that the coaxial cables are
connected to the correct connector.
Check the configuration of the
receiver.
