Clearing Paper Jams

Remove any jammed paper from the stack bypass inside the right 
cover of the main unit.

Gently close the upper right cover of the main unit until it clicks into 
place in the closed position.

If the optional Paper Deck-AA1 was moved away from the main unit, reconnect it to the main 
unit. For more information, see "Paper Deck-AA1 (Optional)," on p. 8-36.

CAUTION

 

When closing the upper right cover of the main unit, be careful not to get your fingers 
caught, as this may result in personal injury.

Follow the instructions on the touch panel display.

NOTE

 

The screen indicating the location of the paper jam repeatedly appears on the touch panel 
display until the paper jam is entirely cleared. For more information, see "Screens Indicating the 
Locations of Paper Jams," on p. 8-3.
