Replacing the Waste Toner Container

When the waste toner container is full, the procedure for replacing the container appears on the 
touch panel display, as shown below. In this case, ask your local authorized Canon dealer to 
replace the waste toner cartridge as soon as possible.

You can print approximately 6,000 sheets of A4 paper even if you do not replace the waste toner 
cartridge immediately. (The number of sheets may differ depending on the contents to print.)

If you continue to print until the waste toner cartridge becomes full, an error occurs and you 
cannot continue printing.

IMPORTANT

 

Be sure to contact your local authorized Canon dealer when replacing the waste toner cartridge. Do not 
replace the waste toner cartridge yourself.
