F. Cleaning
The parts in the table below require cleaning during a service visit. Follow the
procedure listed in the table to clean the corresponding part of the machine.

Transfer Roller
It is recommended that you:

Do not clean the transfer roller, unless it is absolutely necessary.

Do not touch the transfer roller.
•
Take care not to let oil from your hands come into contact with the
transfer roller.
If you have to clean the transfer roller, clean it with a dry, lint-free cloth.
ADF Pickup Roller
Lift the ADF, and wipe the roller with a soft, dry cloth.
ADF Separation Pad
Lift the ADF, and wipe the separation pad with a soft, dry cloth.
Platen Glass Cover
Lift the platen glass cover, and wipe the backside with a soft, dry cloth.
Platen Glass
Lift the platen glass cover, and wipe the platen glass with a soft, dry cloth.
ADF Reading Area
Lift the platen glass cover, and wipe the reading area with a soft, dry cloth.
