Error Code Overview

Overview

A fax error code shows the status of an error which occurred in a fax, and is displayed on the 
reports. Fax error codes allow users and service technicians to check the status of the error.
There are two types of fax error codes.
User error codes
They show errors which can be easily fixed by users, and are displayed as "# + a 3-digit 
number".
Service error codes
They show errors which cannot be fixed by users and need to be fixed by service technicians. 
They are displayed as "## + a 3-digit number".

CAUTION:

Service error codes displayed as "## + a 3-digit number" are not displayed on the 
communication reports, communication management reports, etc., by default. Service 
error codes can be displayed by changing bit 0 to "1" in SW01 in service mode (FAX> 
SSSW).
