6.2 Troubleshooting
6.2.1 No Response Using the CR1000KD Keypad
Check keypad response after each of the following steps.
1.
Make sure the battery has been installed and the PS150 power switch is set
to
ON
(p. 54)
).
2.
Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 12V and G terminals
); the voltage must be from 9.6 to 16 Vdc.
3.
Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 5V and G terminals
); the voltage must be from 4.9 to 5.1 Vdc.
4.
Disconnect the Temp/RH sensor from the back of the enclosure.
5.
Disconnect the 9-pin ribbon cable from any communication option used
with the station so that only the keypad is attached to the 9-pin plug in the
lower right corner of the enclosure.
6.
Cycle the power to the datalogger by switching the PS150 power supply to
OFF
then to
ON
, or by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery plug.
The keypad should power up and the Campbell Scientific logo and text
should appear on the display.
7.
Call Campbell Scientific if still no response.
6.2.2 No Response from Datalogger through SC32B, RAD Modem, or
Phone Modem
At the datalogger:
1.
Make sure the battery has been installed and the power switch set to “ON”
(p. 54)
2.
Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 12V and G terminals
); the voltage must be between 9.6 and 16 Vdc.
3.
Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage on the 5V and G terminals
); the voltage must be between 4.9 and 5.1 Vdc.
4.
Make sure the datalogger is connected to the communication peripheral,
and the communication peripheral is properly installed and configured
(p. 30)

At the computer:
1.
Make sure calling software is properly configured (
PC200W
,
VisualWeather, or
LoggerNet
).
