8.4. Ceramic ignition 

The integrated ceramic ignition is protected against over-voltages (fuse 3.15A, fast-
acting).  The  ceramic  ignition  glows  red  hot  when  a  current  is  applied,  heating  the 
ignition air to the ignition temperature necessary for igniting the pellets. Ignition is ac-
tivated for 7 minutes in each start process. A flame should form after 5 minutes. 
 

8.5. Ash slide and ash pan  

The ash slide is used to push the ash in the combustion chamber directly into the ash 
pan  without  having  to  open  the combustion  chamber  door.  The ash  pan is gener-
ously designed, so it only has to be emptied every few months. 
 

8.6. Flue gas fan 

The flue gas fan pulls the combustion air into the combustion chamber and conveys 
the  resulting  flue  gases  into  the  chimney.  This  causes  a  slight  vacuum  in  the  pellet 
stove. 
 

8.7. Low temperature switch 

The low temperature (LT) switch is located on the flue gas fan and monitors the flue 
gas  temperature.  It  switches  the  pellet  stove  off  if  the  flue  gas  temperature  drops 
below 60°C (pellet stove shutdown, operating malfunction, pellet tank empty, etc.). 
 

8.8. High temperature switch 

Two high temperature (HT) switches are installed in the pellet stove. They monitor the 
surface temperatures on the pellet chute and side of the stove. If the critical surface 
temperature is exceeded at one of these locations, the power supply to the screw 
motor is cut off. The flue gas and convection air fans continue operating to ensure 
combustion of the pellets remaining in the burn grate and to cool down the pellet 
stove. 
 

8.9. Convection air fan 

The  convection  air  fan  pushes  air  through  the  heat  exchanger  pipe,  which  is  sur-
rounded by flue gas. This forced convection ensures uniform and comfortable distri-
bution of heat in the installation room.  
 

8.10. Differential pressure monitor 

The differential pressure monitor detects any possible excess pressure in the flue gas 
system. The control system switches the power supply to the screw conveyor off as 
soon as the permissible excess pressure in the flue gas system is exceeded.  
Excess pressure in the flue gas system may be caused by a closed chimney flap, ob-
struction in the chimney (e.g. bird's nest) or even weather conditions (gusts of wind).
