7.1

INTRODUCTION

The TSLM requires Programming Software for configuration, adjustment and diagnostics.

Operating characteristics are configured using the Programming Software. Offline
Diagnostics and Online Diagnostics give access to Offline Diagnostics and commands (local

and remote) and online diagnostics monitoring.

7.2

INSTALLATION

The TSLM Field Programming Software provides programming and diagnostics for the TSLM

wireless modem. The Field Programming Software allows the user to edit and program user
programmable settings, interactively tune modem and RF parameters, and monitor

diagnostic data. This manual assumes the Field Programming Software has been installed
on the user’s PC with at least one operational serial COM Port available. USB to serial

converters are available if the user’s PC does not have a DB-9 serial connector. Contact
CalAmp DataCom for more information.
