Basic Use
If transmitting MIDI messages from the sequencer software to a MIDI sound module or digital
piano, make the following connections and settings.
* Before making connections to other equipment, you must minimize the volume of all
equipment in order to prevent malfunctions or speaker damage.

MIDI device setting
If you connected your device to the MIDI OUT 1 connector, specify 1(UM-2G) for MIDI OUT .
If you connected your device to the MIDI OUT 2 connector, specify 2(UM-2G) .

[MIDI THRU] switch setting
MIDI messages from the computer are transmitted to the MIDI device (e.g., MIDI sound
module, digital piano) connected to the UM-2G’s MIDI OUT connector.
* Don’t change the setting of the [MIDI THRU] switch while you’re using the UM-2G. Doing so will
cause MIDI errors.
