In order to lever the lower tire bead, lift the tire until it is at the
same height as the drop-center of the wheel rim.
Then, position the assembly iron between the tire and the
assembly head and lift the tire directly under the assembly head.
Now lever the tire bead over the wheel rim and commence the
rotational motion in the same way as for the upper bead.
After disassembly, press down on the gear change pedal to move
the assembly tower so it swivels back.
Then remove the tire.
1.3.6 Assembling a tire
The tire valve should be changed before assembly.
Clamp and/or set the wheel rim so that the wheel valve is
approximately 180 degrees over the assembly head.
Cover the tire and the wheel rim in a sufficient amount of assembly
paste.
