4.5.6.4 Backup menu

A) BACKUP DELAY TIMER

Time during which DLC loss must
be continuously detected before
automatic backup is initiated.

B) LEASED

CIRCUIT

A) ENABLED

Enables automatic backup.

B) DISABLED (F)

Disables automatic backup.

C) C/DTR

A) ENABLED

C/DTR must be ON for auto
backup to occur, when DLC loss
is detected.

B) DISABLED (F)

Ignores the state of C/DTR for
auto backup.

D) TX

SPOOFING

A) ENABLED

In the absence of the DTE
sending data, the SBU128
transmits a line inversion at 1
second intervals to prevent the
remote unit from sensing line
loss and backing up
unnecessarily.

B) DISABLED (F)

This feature is disabled.

E) REMOTE

BACKUP
SPOOFING

A) ENABLED

If DLC loss is detected, the
SBU128 clamps transmit data to
a mark; the remote backup unit
then backs up.  This causes the
call charges to be borne from
one site only.

B) DISABLED (F)

This feature is disabled.
