Series 90 Setup Manual
COMMAND BUTTONS
TestDiag has three command buttons: Diag, Adv, and Reset. A command can also be selected
by pressing the letter key that is underlined in the button.
Diag
The Diag button is used to begin a diagnostic test. If a high-voltage tester is connected, make
sure all hands are clear of tester before clicking Diag button.
Adv
The Adv button is used to open an Advanced Functions dialog
box. The advanced functions are as follows:
Download Firmware
Download Firmware is used to download the Scanner Control
Board (SCB) software, from disk to the EEPROM on the
board. TestRite automatically checks the firmware in the SCB
during initialization, and if the firmware requires updating, a
message box opens and provides a button to download the new firmware. The Download
Firmware function in this dialog box can be used to force the firmware to be downloaded.
Warning
Interrupting the tester or PC during download can cause the download
portion of the EEPROM to corrupt. If this happens, a new EEPROM must
be installed on the Scanner Control Board. Contact the factory.
Capacitance Offset Function
Capacitance Offset Function measures the amount of capacitance in the system. This value is
used as an offset to the measurements made during test to improve capacitance measurement
accuracies. This function needs to be run only when the values being measured are below
1000 pf.
Set Voltage Type
Set Voltage Type is for high-voltage systems. The Series 90HV originally had a maximum
isolation test voltage of 1000 vdc. This was later increased to 1500 vdc. This value should be
set according to the tester connected. After the tester has the latest firmware downloaded, this
value will automatically be set by the software.
Reset
The Reset button aborts the test and reinitializes the tester and communications link.
