Remove the processor.

Caution

Do not touch the socket pins; they are very sensitive and easily
damaged.

Take the processor out of the box and remove the protective shipping cover.

Orient the processor with the socket so that the processor cutouts match the

socket notches. Install the processor as shown below.

Note: Make sure the alignment triangle mark and the

alignment triangle cutout align correctly. The CPU fits only in
one correct orientation. Do NOT force the CPU into the socket
to prevent bending the pins and damaging the CPU.

13.

Lower the CPU load plate and lower the socket lever completely.

Note: Retain the protective socket cover for use when

removing a processor that will not be replaced.
