4.8 Digital communication according to the Hart

protocol

Certain functions are available as a digital signal according to the Hart

protocol and BELL 202 modem standard.

The transmitter complies to Hart

-protocol standard requirements.

To set and calibrate the transmitter the BTG hand-held terminal is
required. Since additional functions are not covered by the Hart

protocol, a standard Hart

competitive terminal can only be used

for certain functions.

Communication takes place as a superimposed signal over the 4-20 mA
output signal loop.

For details, please contact the Hart
