6.4 Electrical commissioning/start-up of the register sensor

Fig. 6.4

Perform the following operating steps:

Connect the voltage supply cable to direct current input
X3.

If you would like to connect additional register sensors:

Connect  the  voltage  supply  cable  for  the  next  register
sensor to direct current output X4.

Connect the bus cable coming from the register controller
or  previous  bus  participant  to  connection  X1  of  the
register sensor. 

If you would like to connect additional bus participants:

Connect  the  bus  cable  of  the  next  bus  participant  to
output X2.

Connect the grounding cable (minimum cross section 4
mm²) to the equipotential bonding of the register sensor
(assembly order: screw, lock washer, washer, cable lug,
serrated lock-washer). When using the 2 channel version
of the register sensor: Repeat this operating step for the
second optical waveguide.

Finally,  firmly  screw  all  the  cable  connections  to  the

register sensor. Commissioning/start-up is carried out together with the
connected register controller system.
