Section 7

Collar Maintenance

Place the glued patch inside the collar. Install it care-

fully starting at one end of the tear and working toward

the opposite end.

DO NOT

allow any wrinkles, over-

laps, or air bubbles in the patch.

Close the tear from the outside being very careful to

align the repair edges. An overlap or space between

the repair edges could cause the repair to fail.

Use a round-edged spatula to firmly press the collar

against the internal patch.

DO NOT

allow any wrin-

kles, overlaps, or air bubbles in the patch.

Eliminate wrinkles and small air bubbles using the

round-edged spatula.

CAUTION

Work very carefully. Adhesion between the

patch and collar is immediate.
