2) Synchronization: Start-stop
3) Communications control: No protocol
4) Data length: Serial 7 bits or 8 bits
5) Parity: Odd, even, or none
6) Stop bit: 1 or 2 stop bits
7) Protocol: Xon/Xoff or DTR
Interface Connectors
A shielded cable should be used.
