be used for data communications
by connecting two
printers,

computer
terminal,
via the RS-232C cable and
connector, or

telephone
lines
through
a
modem.

is transmitted
to
the
connected device.
When this happens,
data is neither printed
nor
displayed
on
the input-side
printer.
