Embroidery Attractive Finishes
B-28
There are many factors that go into beautiful embroidery.
Using the appropriate stabilizer (see page B-29) and
hooping the fabric in the frame (see page B-30) are two
important factors mentioned earlier. Another important
point is the appropriateness of the needle and thread being
used. See the explanation of threads below.

Bobbin case
(no color on the screw)
The bobbin case included with this machine has been set
to be used with 90 weight bobbin thread. If different
weights of bobbin threads are used the tension screw on
this case can be adjusted if necessary. For details on
adjusting thread tension, refer to “Adjusting thread
tension” in the “Embroidering” section.
• See “Cleaning the Race” in the “Appendix” section
for how to remove the bobbin case.
Embroidery Attractive Finishes
Upper thread
Use embroidery thread intended for use with
this machine.
Other embroidery threads may not yield
optimum results.
Bobbin thread
Use embroidery bobbin thread intended for
use with this machine.
Note
• Before embroidering, check that there is enough
thread in the bobbin. If you start to sew your
embroidery project without enough thread in the
bobbin, you will need to rewind the bobbin in the
middle of the embroidery pattern.
Memo
• If you use threads other than those listed above,
the embroidery may not sew out correctly.
a
CAUTION
• When embroidering on large garments
(especially jackets or other heavy fabrics), do
not let the fabric hang over the table.
Otherwise, the embroidery unit cannot move
freely and the embroidery frame may strike the
needle, causing the needle to bend or break
and possibly cause injury.
Place the fabric so that it does not hang off the
table or hold the fabric to keep it from
dragging.
Note
• Do not leave objects in the range of motion of the
embroidery frame. The frame may strike the
object and cause a poor finish to the embroidery
pattern.
• When embroidering on large garments
(especially jackets or other heavy fabrics), do not
let the fabric hang over the table. Otherwise, the
embroidery unit cannot move freely, and the
pattern may not turn out as planned.
