PLACING CHILD IN THE RESTRAINT

A.  Lengthen the harness by lifting up the 

harness adjustment lever while pulling 
both shoulder straps evenly. Release 
the harness adjustment lever when the 
shoulder straps are long enough. Place 
tongues in Harness Tongue Holders.

     If the harness appears hard to lengthen, 

deploy the ISOFIT connectors with the 
green handle (page 14, Ref 23) and 
ensure the shoulder straps are not 
trapped.

     Adjust the shoulder straps as required 

and ensure ISOFIT system is pushed 
fully inwards if using seatbelt installation. 

B. Place child in the restraint and feed each arm 

through shoulder straps. Pull harness buckle up 
between child’s legs.

C.  Fit either harness tongue into the harness 

buckle followed by the other tongue 
until a click is heard. Should the second 
tongue not insert, press the red button and 
reinsert the tongues. When both tongues 
are inserted the harness is fully engaged. 
Ensure secure engagement by pulling the 
harness straps.

D.  Remove all of the slack from the harness lap 

straps by pulling shoulder straps. 

E.  Pull the harness adjustment strap to adjust 

harness to a comfortable but firm fit. Check that 
the slack in all straps is removed. The shoulder 
harness straps must fit firmly to the child. A 
loose harness could result in serious injury in an 
accident.      

     Always adjust the height of shoulder straps as 

the child grows.

DANGEROUS.

Do not use restraint if straps do not tighten.                               
Contact Britax or your local authorised service agent for repair.
