2.9 Personal protective equipment

Personal protective equipment must be worn while working in
order to minimise health hazards.

– Always wear the protective equipment required for the

respective work while working.

– Follow the instructions regarding personal protective

equipment posted in the working zone.

– Comply with the safety requirements specified by the

operator.

To be worn during all
work

Wear the following protective equipment for all work on and
with the device:

Tight-fitting protective clothing with low tear
strength.

Work gloves to provide protection from injuries.

Steel-capped safety boots with a puncture-resistant oil-
resistant safety sole.

Protective goggles for protecting your eyes from flying
parts and splashing liquids.

To be worn during
special work

Particular safety equipment is also required when performing
special work. Information regarding this will be provided
separately in the individual chapters.

Additional equipment to be worn when carrying out special
work:

Safety helmet to protect your head from falling
objects.

Ear protectors in environments with noise
emissions > 80 dB(A).
