Improper microswitch
adjustment may
result in serious
bodily injury and/or
property damage.
WARNING
Microswitches should be adjusted so
that the platform is fully unfolded
allowing the stop blocks to make full
contact with the inboard vertical edge
of the vertical arms (see Photo D).
Failure to do so can damage the lift
.
Photo H shows lift with an incorrect
Unfold/Down microswitch setting which
prevents the platform from fully unfold-
ing.
The bridge plate should be positioned
so that the inboard edge of bridge plate
rests solidly on base plate as shown in
Photo I when at floor level. There
should be a smooth (level) transition
between the platform, bridge plate and
the base plate (shown in Photo I).
In Photo J, the platform is fully unfolded
but the Up/Fold Microswitch is not
adjusted correctly and stops the up
function too early causing the bridge
plate to be raised up off the base plate.
If the Unfold/Down microswitch is set to
stop the unfold function too early, the
bridge plate will overlap more of the
base plate but will not contact the base
plate (shown in Photo J).
