4.2 Control Unit

The

ECOM

ix production system is operated using buttons and the LCD. The functions assigned to

the control buttons are displayed on the graphic LCD and depend on the current menu selection.
The LCD has a resolution of 240 x 64 characters and is used for eight-line display in this system. In
addition, each function key has an LED.

Figure 4.2:

Flashing LEDs show the next operation that can be selected.

4.3 User Interface

By pressing the appropriate function key on the panel, the production system changes to the program
step selected. The function keys have different assignments in the various sub-menus.
