NOTE:
• The accuracy of a general pressure-based weather forecast is about
70% to 75%.
•
The weather forecast reflects the weather conditions for the next 12 ~
24 hours, it does not necessarily reflect the current situation.
• The snow forecast not based on the pressure, but on the outdoor tem-
perature. If the temperature is below -3 °C (26 °F), the snow symbol is
displayed on the LCD.
12.7 Barometric pressure
The atmospheric pressure is the pressure at any location on earth
caused by the weight of the air column above the earth. Atmospher-
ic pressure refers to the mean pressure and gradually decreases with
increasing altitude. Meteorologists use barometers to measure the
atmospheric pressure. Since the variations in atmospheric pressure are
strongly influenced by the weather, it is possible to predict the weather
by measuring the changes in pressure.
Press the "BARO" button in normal mode to change between ABSOLUTE
/ RELATIVE barometric reading.
Setting the barometer unit
Press the "BARO UNIT" button in normal mode to change the barometer
unit in this sequence: hPa → inHg → mmHg
