6.6 Transporting the Camera Cart Inside the Hospital
Protection Covers
Brainlab provides:
• Monitor protection cover
• Camera protection cover
The protection covers must be used during transport and storage to protect the sensitive
components from damage. Remove the cover before entering the OR.
Moving the Camera Cart
If you need to move the Camera Cart over an obstacle, you can do this by slightly canting device
and moving it wheel by wheel over the obstacle.
NOTE: Do not lift whole device.
NOTE: Do not transport or store the camera outside the specified environmental conditions, as
this may cause the camera to lose calibration.
How to Attach the Camera Protection Cover

Step
1. Ensure that the Camera Cart is secured in parking position and the camera is turned off
and completely cooled down.
2. Pull camera protection cover over the front of the camera.
3. Secure the protection cover using the hook and loop straps

4. Adjust the camera to the left side (when standing behind the cart) and use the hook and
loop straps to fixate the protection cover to the transport handle.
NOTE: The camera must be switched off for at least five minutes before it is covered.
NOTE: The camera must not be protected or covered with methods not approved by Brainlab.
Obstructing the normal air flow around the camera (e.g., by draping or bagging the camera) will
affect the camera operational environment, possibly beyond its recommended thresholds.
How to Prepare the Camera Cart for Transport
Step
1. Open the clamping clever.
2. Retract the telescopic post until it reaches it lowest position.
3. Attach the camera protection cover.
4. Use the handle to transport the camera cart.
