INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
y
Temperature range : -50°C +85°C (100°C for boxes with basket).
y
Our boxes may only be used for temperature holding.
y
Users’ attention is drawn to the risk of trapping fingers when closing the hinge and clasp, and the risk of burns when
handling hot containers.
«Sherpa» insulated boxes :
y
Attrition plates : Sherpa range containers which open at the top and from the front have 4 attrition plates on the lower part.
These plates are removable and can be replaced.
y
Re-usable plaque : two labels are delivered with each container
- One red in colour, if the container is mainly used for hot deliveries.
- One blue in colour, if the container is mainly used for cold deliveries.
- Set up (diagram 1 p.4): remove the protective film situated on the back and stick the plaque onto the designated area.

Warning: use a dry erasable felt tip pen.
Hot transportation
y
Leave the box open at normal room temperature for 10-15 minutes before use. Never use boiling water to heat up the box.
y
Do not reheat food and drink stored inside the box with electric or other appliances, which have not been supplied by
Bourgeat.
y
Never place the box on a heat source.
y
Insulated box with front opening : fit the seal.
y
Load the containers with hot food as quickly as possible (Temperature higher than 75°C).
y
Do not charge at a temperature in excess 85 °C.
y
Charging at excessive temperatures serves no purpose as insulation of the box limits temperature loss to less than 2 °C
per hour.
y
Close the box immediately after loading to avoid any unnecessary heat loss.
y
Unplug the power lead from the heating block before handling.
Cold transportation
y
For light loading transport, it is advised to leave the container open in a cold storage room, (for at least 1 hour), before
using.
y
Insulated box with front opening : fit the seal
y
Put an eutectic block in place in the base of the top opening box or on the top of the stainless-steel basket of the front
opening box. The block should have been cooled to -12 °C. This plate is of 1/1 format for the euronorme container, and 1/3
format for other models. It must be chilled to -12°C beforehand.
y
Load the containers with cold food as quickly as possible.
y
Close the box immediately after loading to avoid unnecessary warming.
y
Any usage outside these parameters and any modification to the machine will automatically disengage the constructor’s
responsibility.
y
The NF food hygiene label demonstrates conformity to the NF301 standard, available on www.marque-nf.com, which sets
norms for:- Ease of cleaning- Practicality in use- insulation efficiency.

LINKING TWO FRONT OPENING CONTAINERS
y
ContaContainers 3 and 4GN can be interconnected via the connecting piece,
with the exception of heating containers FC3
and FC4.
Never superimpose heated containers.
MAINTENANCE
y
Front-opening container :
- remove the door seal and replace it when it is torn. Do not immerse the seal to clean it.
