TROUBLESHOOTING
The following trou ble shoot ing steps may assist you in case you’re
hav ing prob lems with your Snooper 2.
YOUR DETECTOR IS EMIT TING ERRATIC SIGNALS
WHEN YOU’RE IN THE FIELD.
Your SENSITIVITY may be set too high.
Try reducing the SEN SI TIV I TY slight ly un -
til the false sig nal ing dis ap pears.
Re mem ber to swing your coil slow ly. Some
inconsistent signals will oc cur on highly
rusted metals. If the sig nal does not re peat
after suc ces sive passes of the coil over the
same area, then the tar get is usu al ly not worthwhile.
Natural and man-made electromagnetic fields can cause interference.
YOUR DETECTOR IS NOT STA BLE AND HAS A PULS ING, DIS TORT ED
TONE IN STEAD OF A CLEAR TONE.
This can occur if you’re op er at ing near an oth er detector or near pow er
lines that can in ter fere with the de tec tor’s operating frequency.
YOUR DETECTOR IS EMIT TING A CONSTANT LOUD TONE OR
CON STANT RE PEAT ING TONES
This usually occurs when the bat ter ies are low. Try re plac ing your
bat ter ies with two new alkaline batteries.
NOTE: Al ways use Alkaline Batteries for proper per for mance.
