8.3 PULSATION PROBLEMS

for possible causes and solutions.

Is the power supply to the Pulse MD Unit on?
Check power supply.
Is the Pulse MD Unit plugged in and turned on?
Check plug connections.
Is the pulsator plugged in?
Has the pulsator coil failed?
Try using another pulsator.
Is the Pulse MD Unit getting a proper signal from the automatic
take-off?
Non-SmartLite detachers only: Check the logic configured for the
device and confirm the right signals are being sent to the device. The
brown wire must be hooked up to the (+) signal and the green wire
to the (-) signal. If these are reversed, the Pulse MD Unit will not work
properly.
Is the Pulse MD Unit functioning?
Check the LED light. If the light does not illuminate, plug in another
device and check again. Any new device needs to be properly
programmed to control pulsation. Any new device needs to be assigned
a barn ID and configured according to the instructions in
Section 6
.
Is the device programmed to run pulsation?
Check pulsation settings. These settings can be found in
Section 6
.
