10.3 Maintenance

Bearings

The bearings have lifelong lubrication and are maintenance-free under normal
conditions of use.

Gears

The gears are maintenance-free during their service life (20,000 hours).

Motor

To ensure adequate cooling of the motors, regularly remove dirt and dust deposits:
• from the surface of the motor.
• from the intake openings on the fan hood.
• from between the cooling ribs.
The cleaning intervals depend on the ambient and operating conditions.

Ball rail system, BSCL runner blocks

• Lubricate the BSCL runner blocks with grease (NLGI 2):

Apply with

Manual grease gun

Recommendation

Dynalub 510
• Lithium-based high-performance grease, NLGI class 2

according to DIN 51818 (KP2K-20 according to DIN 51825)

• Good resistance to water
• Anti-corrosive
• Temperature range: -20 to +80 °C

Approved alternative
products

• Castrol Longtime PD2
• Elkalub GLS 135/N2

• Initial lubrication: The BSCL runner blocks are initially lubricated.
• Re-lubrication:

– lubricate the runner blocks regularly every 1,400 hours.
– lubricate them at least every 2 years due to aging grease.
– Install the lubricating element.
