Replacement of the ctrlX SAFETY controller

NOTE

Warranty

The warranty is void if the device is opened impermissibly!

NOTE

Safety accreditation

Any modification of the device leads to expiry of the safety accreditation!

NOTE

Repair



The devices must be fully replaced.



Repairs can only be performed at the factory.

When replacing a module, the following procedure should be followed:
1.

Disconnect the power converter from the main power supply

Switch off the voltage supply for the device

Follow the removal steps from section 6.3.1

Remove the

SD memory card from the device

Package the module in an EMC-compliant manner

Install the replacement compact safety controller on the DIN rail

Reestablish all connections

Switch on the power converter and the power voltage supply

Insert the

SD memory card from the removed device into the replacement device

Install a validated configuration file and check the application.

NOTE

Damage



Before transport of the device, the

SD memory card must be removed from the module

to prevent damage to the

SD memory card or the device!

Danger to life due to high electrical voltage

Work on the wiring or the compact safety controller can lead to electric shock or death.



Therefore, such work may only be carried out by qualified electricians (in compliance

with IEC 60364/CENELEC HD 384 or DIN VDE 0100 and IEC 60664 or DIN VDE 0110
as well as national accident prevention regulations).
