10.2 Inspection

10.2.1 Conveyor chain

Inspect the chain regularly, every 1000 h, for ease of movement,
sufficient lubrication, correct chain tension and wear. Check an lubricate more
frequently, e.g. every 500 hrs or 200 hrs, when using production processes that
include rinsing, fluid transfer, etc. in which the lift transverse unit chain could be
washed out. For this, see section 10.3.1 "Conveyor chain" on page 54.

Replace the conveyor chain when wear becomes visible, at the latest however
when it has increased in length by 3% (see section 10.7.4 "Replacing flat
top chain" on page 68).

10.2.2 Lift unit

Check the pneumatic connections regularly for leaks.

10.3 Maintenance

CAUTION

Sudden movements, falling workpiece pallets

Risk of injury caused by sudden movements and falling objects.

Only work on the conveyor chain when the belt section is stationary.

Secure the system against being unintentionally switched on again.
