1. Introduction
Using UDS-10s or UDS-1100s, a CNC channel to K2100 / K2200 Door Controllers can be set up to
communicate over an Ethernet network.
Using a method called serial tunneling, two UDS-10s or UDS-1100s encapsulate serial data into packets and
transports them over the network.
Note
If replacing pIPer Serial Ethernet units, the pIPers at both ends must be replaced with UDS devices.
2. Installation
UDS #1 is connected to a serial port on the PC / CNC. A standard 9-way to 25-way serial cable can be used.
UDS #2 is connected to the serial port on the first door controller. The serial lead can be supplied (part no.
12090). Alternatively, a K2200IP that has an inbuilt UDS can be used.
