3.3 Testing Network Connectivity
To test if the UDS is accessible over the network:
1. Run
the
DeviceInstaller
program.
2. Select
the
(
Ping Device
)
and the
Ping Device
window is displayed:
3. Enter
the
IP Address
of the unit to be pinged, and select the
(
Ping Device
).
Successful pinging will be indicated by text similar to that displayed.
Note
Do not attempt to set up the door controller within application software until you have established that the
PC can “see” the UDS over the network.
