7.3.2 Wiring

Connecting the base station

After mounting the base station on the wall, each base station must be connected to a
DCU through the unshielded twisted pair cable.

Proceed as follows (see fig. 7.6):

1.

Connect a RJ11 plug to the cable at the base station end. Use the two inner
connectors [a] and [b] of the plug.

2.

Insert the plug into the line connector of the base station.

Connection base station-DCU

The connection of the base stations to the BS 0-7 or BS 8-15 connector of the DCU
(see figure 7.7) can be done in two different ways. One way is to solder the 25 pole male
sub D connector to the base station cables (see

1.

), the other way is buying a BS-DCU

connection cable LBB 6721/02 (see

2.

).

Soldering the wires to a 25-pole male sub D connector according the pin
configuration in Table 7.1 and plug the connector on the BS connector of the DCU
(see figure 7.7).
