Installation
– Make sure that the fitting protection guard is
mounted (see “Mounting the Protective De-
vices”, page 46).
– Place the clamping flange

– Mount the desired grinding tool

disc) in the correct rotation direction onto
the grinder spindle

– Mount the clamping washer and the clamp-
ing nut onto the spindle thread in such a
manner that the hexagon socket of the
clamping nut faces upward.
The clamping washer is used for centring of
the cutting disc.
– Tighten the clamping nut with an Allen key
(size 10 mm), while counter-holding the the
spanner surfaces of the grinder spindle

Removal
– Hold the grinder spindle

on the spanner
surfaces with open-end spanner

– Unscrew the clamping nut from the grinder
spindle with an Allen key (size 10 mm), while
counter-holding the spanner surfaces with
open-end spanner

– Afterwards, pull the clamping washer, the
grinding tool and the mounting flange from
the grinder spindle.
Machines with Spindle Lock Button 5

For machines with spindle lock button

, coun-
ter-holding with an open-end spanner is not re-
quired when mounting grinding tools.

Actuate the spindle lock button only when
the grinder spindle is at a standstill.
Other-
wise, the machine may become damaged.
– Before installing or removing the grinding
tool, press and hold spindle lock button

lock the grinder spindle

in place.
– Mount the desired grinding tool (see “Mount-
ing Grinding or Cutting Discs”, page 47).
– Let go of the spindle lock button

to release
the locked grinder spindle.
Mounting the Rubber Sanding Plate

Installation
– Make sure that the hand guard and the auxil-
iary handle are mounted (see “Mounting the
Protective Devices”, page 46).
– Place the rubber sanding plate
