6. Absolute Pressure : as the GasFinderAB is used for detecting
the presence of gas and not the absolute quantity, the pressure
is not required. It should be set to a nominal sea level pressure
of 101.325 Pa.
7. Light Menus : this contains the ‘Minimum Acceptable Light’
value which is set at the factory. The value is usually 1000.
8. Gas Light/R2: pressing the down key will show the display
as Gas Concentration and a choice of Light Value or R2.
9. Min. acceptable R2: this item allows the user to specify the
value of the confi dence factor below which the concentration is
deemed to be insignifi cant. An airborne system is normally set
to 0.0 for the
Min. acceptable R2
10. Serial Output Menus : the GasFinderAB should be left with the
default setting of Real Time.
11. Alarm ppmm: this item allows the user to select the set-point at
which the optional audible alarm will sound. For a 10ppm alarm with
a 3m path, the set-point will be 30ppmm. This is 10ppm x 3m.
Note: The units for the alarm are always in ppmm.
12. 4-20mA Current Loop Settings : this submenu allows the
user to confi gure the 4-20mA current loop option but is not
used in an airborne system and should be disabled.

Log to Memory Menus: this submenu enables the
GasFinderAB to be used as a data logger. The storage
capacity is 131,000 samples. This menu item is not required
in the airborne system because the computer is used to store
the data.
System Menus
When the Main Menus is showing in the window, pressing the
down arrow will display the System Menus . This contains items
which do not need to be regularly accessed. With System Menus
showing in the display press the Ent key.
