MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Where applicable, maintenance
procedure applies for both engine sys-
tems.
Lubrication
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT lubricate safe-
ty lanyard post. This will prevent prop-
er electrical contact.
PTO Flywheel
Use SEA-DOO synthetic grease and
lubricate as follows:
Open rear storage compartment cover.
Remove storage tray.
Loosen the wing nuts, washers and
pull out PTO flywheel guard.

1. Loosen wing nuts
Using a grease gun, carefully lubricate
PTO flywheel at grease fitting until
drive shaft boot begins to expand.
CAUTION:
Immediately stop lubri-
cating as soon as boot begins to ex-
pand to prevent boot damage or slip-
ping.

Reinstall and secure PTO flywheel guard.
WARNING
Only perform procedures as de-
tailed in this guide. It is recom-
mended that the assistance of an
authorized dealer be periodically
obtained on other components/
systems not covered in this guide.
Unless otherwise specified, en-
gine(s) must not be running and
the main battery cut-off switch
must be turned OFF for all mainte-
nance procedures.
WARNING
Always remove safety lanyard cap
from its receptacle to prevent acci-
dental engine starting before re-
moving the PTO flywheel guard.
