Humidifying capacity is dependent on the quantitative air flow rate through the humidifier (air ve-
locity in the duct), on the uniformity of flow over the entire fluid tank length, on the level of sup-
ply voltage under load (nominal 48 V), on the water temperature and on the cleanliness of the
fluid tank and the ultrasonic transducers (regular care).

The power output of the transformers stated is optimised for the NKBD types. Their power re-
serves are sufficient to bear the power consumption of a correctly laid supply cable with short
distance between humidifier and transformer. Nevertheless, it is advisable to check transformer
selection mathematically according to local conditions.

If the water level falls below minimum in the fluid tank, the NKBD
switches humidification off automatically.
The NKBD switches off humidification at water temperatures > 60 °C.
If the NKBD fluid tank is overfilled, the excess water is drained off to
the outside through the overflow.
To suppress voltage peaks a transient suppressor diode works
from the tips.
In case of electrical interruptions between oscillator board and
US-transducer no defects occur.
