speed.

1 = Append ARQ (automatic repeat request) to verbose

none.

2 = Enable CARRIER XXXX result code.
3 = Enable PROTOCOL XXXX result code.
5 = Enable COMPRESSION result code.

Bits 4, 6, and 7 are reserved.
