2.6 BACKREST LIFTING SYSTEM
Before operating the backrest lifting system, check that nothing is blocking it (fittings, cables,
etc.).
The backrest lifting system, assisted by 2 gas springs, is controlled by operating the bar located
under the lying surface: apply a pressure (with 2 hands to make it easier) to unblock the cylinders
and adjust the backrest lifting system at the chosen height.
Case of an electric trolley:
The backrest lifting system is adjusted with the remote control(s):
- Foot side remote control
- And patient remote control (optional)
2.7 SIDERAILS
The siderails are provided to reduce the risk of the patient accidentally falling from the
stretcher. They are in no way designed to immobilise or maintain the patient with strap-
type immobilisation devices.
Before handling the bars, make sure that nothing is blocking their movement. Do not use
the bars to move the stretcher-trolley.
Lowering the bars:
To unlock, maintain the button pressed down  , and push the bar  .
