With water temperatures below 6°C, the unit should be operated with a water/antifreeze mixture. The service set
point and antifreeze thermostat must be reset as follows:
- The service set point of controller should be set to 5 °C above the desired evaporator delivery temperature.
- The antifreeze thermostat should be set at least 3 - 5 °C above the mixture freezing point.
These values are generally factory set.
The percentage of antifreeze (by weight) depends on the desired chilled water temperature (see Table III).
