Navigation system
If a navigation system (e.g. TravelPilot EX-V) is connected to the
Aspen/Chicago IVDM-7003, you can display the navigation screen
on the monitor.
Note: To allow for dynamic destination guidance
(automatic traffic jam detours), the navigation system
must be connected to a suitable TMC source.
1.
On the monitor: Touch the
NAVI
NAVI
button on the touch
screen menu.
On the device or on the remote control: Press the
NAVI
button.

The navigation screen is displayed on the monitor.
Note: Touch screen operation is not possible during
navigation mode.

On the monitor: Touch the center of the monitor to return
to the previous operating mode.
On the device or on the remote control: Press the
NAVI
button again to return to the previous operating mode.
Voice output during navigation mode
If the navigation system is connected to the Aspen/Chicago IVDM-
7003 as described in the installation instructions, its voice output
for the driving suggestions are played back over the car sound
system. For this purpose, the volume of the currently set signal
source is decreased. The percentage decrease of the volume
can be set in the setup menu. For further details, read the section
“Volume decrease for voice output” in the chapter “Setup menu”.
You can change the volume of the driving suggestions during a
voice output.

On the device: Use the

buttons.
On the remote control: Use the
VOL
/
buttons.
If the volume is changed during a voice output, this value remains
valid until the volume is changed again during a voice output.
Note: If the setting range is insufficient, you can also
increase the volume of the TravelPilot EX-V. For this
purpose, read the operating instructions of the
TravelPilot EX-V.
