Changing the tune-up kit
De tune-up kit consists of the blastwheel (7) , the control cage (3) and a bolt (6).
Remove the feed spout (1) by loosening the star nuts and pulling it out of the housing.
Remove the cage clamps (2) and remove the control cage (3) and control cage shim (9).
Unscrew the 4 nuts of the blastwheel cover plate (5) and take it off.
New blastwheel coverplates have 2 welded nuts which will make it easier to remove the
coverplate without damages. Use 2 M10 bolts and screw them in the welded nuts until the
blastwheel coverplate is released from the blasthousing.
Block the blastwheel (7) and remove the central fixing bolt (6).
Take the blastwheel(7) out of the housing and check the hub (8) for wear.
Use a new central fixing bolt when mounting a new blastwheel!
Place the blastwheel(7) on the hub (8) and tighten the central fixing bolt (6).
Fix the blastwheel cover plate (5) with 4 nuts and place the control cage shim (9).
Insert the control cage (3) in the
center
and clamp the cage with the cage clamps (2) so that the
blastwheel (7) can rotate freely. Make sure the cast grooves are positioned correctly.
Turn the blastwheel(7) manually. It must rotate freely.
Place the feed spout (1) back between the abrasive valve and the cage (3).
