• Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless
type) during an electrical storm; there may be
a remote risk of electrical shock from lightning.
• Do not use a telephone in the vicinity of a gas leak.
3.4 Step 1: Assemble the Modem
The only assembly required is to mount the feet on the
bottom of the modem. Simply peel the four self-adhesive
plastic feet off the backing strip and press them into the
recesses on the bottom of the modem. Alternately, or
additionally, you can use the included self-adhesive
hook-and-loop patches to mount the modem on a
vertical surface or to keep it from being dislodged on a
horizontal surface. If you use the hook-and-loop patches,
we recommend that you mount them where they will
not obscure the labels or screws on the bottom of the
modem.
