: References to the Emerald system in this document refer to both Receivers (EMD4000R) and Transmitters (EMD4000T).

2.4 APPLICATIONS

An Emerald system can be composed of just Receivers and Transmitters. In these types of systems—called unmanaged— there
is no central management. Each device needs to be configured individually and upgraded individually. The admin can export the
configuration from one Receiver and import it to all other Receivers using a USB Flash Drive.
