5.3 INSTALLATION OPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment, disconnect the power from the Emerald device by
unplugging the power supply from the electrical outlet. To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment, turn on
the remote workstation and the Emerald Transmitter in the order described in the following procedures.
You can install the Emerald system either on a point-to-point or networked configuration.
WARNING: To avoid potentially fatal shock hazard and possible damage to equipment, please observe the following precautions:
Test AC outlets at the workstation and monitor for proper polarity and grounding.
Use only with grounded outlets at both the workstation and monitor. When using a backup Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS),
power the workstation and the Transmitter from the same supply.
NOTE: The AC outlet is the main disconnect.
The orientation of the unit needs to be sitting in the normal orientation or upside down but cannot be orientated on either of its
sides as the ventilation holes would be blocked which would impact the product performance.
If the equipment is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
