CHAPTER 3: Installation 

an extension on the ASD-4’s line (perhaps as shown in Figure 3-8, below). In
this case, follow the installation procedure in the Caller ID equipment’s
manual.

NOTE

In multiple-phone systems where exclusion is maintained (see 

Section 3.5

), you must install the Caller ID equipment “in front of” the

ASD-4.
