The data for allowable pressure (PS) and allowable
temperature (TS) apply to CE approval in accordance
to the EU Pressure Equipment Directive. They may de-
viate depending on the approval scheme.

Permitted refrigerants
• R134a
• R22
• R290, R1270
• R1234yf
• R1234ze(E)
• R404A
• R507A

Other refrigerants and refrigerant blends with temperat-
ure glide >2 K upon request. The shell and tube con-
densers are not suitable for the use with R717: ammo-
nia and its blends.
WARNING
Risk of bursting due to counterfeit refrigerants!
Serious injuries are possible!
Purchase refrigerants only from reputable man-
ufacturers and reliable distributors!
3.2
Coolants
• Water/brine
• In addition for seawater resistant design: seawater
▶ Do not use too much of the anti-freeze agent. Too
high concentrations may result in increased pressure
drops and worse heat exchange properties.

NOTICE
Risk of corrosion!
Choose a coolant composition that will not cor-
rode the pipe bundles or the reversing covers.
Check the suitability of the mixture.
As a service, BITZER will examine the suitability of pipe
materials if a water analysis is provided. The basis for
the examination is the current state of knowledge. How-
ever, due to the complexity of the situation, no absolute
guarantee can be given for absolute resistance to cor-
rosion, particularly since temperature, flow velocity, pH
value, salinity and fouling (deposits and limescale build-
up) have a significant influence. If "pure" water is used
as the coolant, the following limits apply:

CuNi10Fe1M
